Paint pigment mixing

Centre Colours are industry leaders in supplying high-quality pigment dispersions for use in paints, inks and other coatings. Our high standard of production is never compromised because we have a stringent manufacturing process with full quality assurance procedures. We can easily tailor our service to suit your specific product requirements. This is what makes us stand out in the industry.

You can, if you prefer, tell us the precise formulation that you require and also supply us with the raw materials so that we can toll manufacture products on your behalf. We are happy to work with customers in this way in order to provide the end-result that is needed. Our manufacturing operations are fully flexible and our processes can be adapted to suit your requirements.

Alternatively, we can provide a full service that includes sourcing materials and then manufacturing into dispersions for inks and paints. We always work closely with all of our clients to ensure their exact specifications are met.

Bespoke Service

Of all our capabilities, we remain proud to be able to offer an individualised service for manufacturing any kinds of dispersions, including those for bespoke blend scheme inks. To the benefit of our customers, this bespoke service means that our products will always meet specific uses and applications.

We have also developed some standard ranges of our own, and many of our customers are happy to make a selection this way. For example, we have a set of litho concentrates that can easily be used in conventional offset inks (sheetfed, heatset etc.) and another for radiation-cured inks.

Performance Products and Leading Technologies

We have a department that specialises in manufacturing performance pigment dispersions that impart specific physical or chemical properties using materials such as graphene. Graphene inks have evolved since they were first developed at Manchester University in 2004. They have many uses, not least the ability to conduct electrical current.

Another example of performance coatings is the hi-tech ceramic ink technology. Certain innovative devices require chemical agents to be bound to metallic surfaces in the form of enamels in order to function. We can formulate special inks to apply the relevant ingredients to the intended substrates. The printed components are then stoved in an oven where the films of ink film are converted into enamels. We are proud to be at the forefront of this modern technological revolution in performance inks.

Flexible Facilities

Our pigment dispersion plant in Yorkshire has five mixers that can cater to a variety of batch sizes ranging from 50kg to 400kg. All batches are fully documented during manufacture to ensure consistency of quality.

Furthermore, we are pleased to manufacture small or large batches, and we will always ensure the highest quality no matter what the quantity. We are an independent dispersion house, which means we can provide bespoke dispersions for inks, paints, and other coatings without you risking the divulging of sensitive information to one of your competitors.
